Activity:
We present and discuss the politics, culture, history, economics, languages, business, and the social issues of individual European countries, and also reflect on some of the challenges which Europe as a whole, is facing: globalisation, antisemitism, populism, immigration, Donald Trump, NATO, Russia… and currently Brexit.
If you prefer, you can simply listen… but you are also very welcome to contribute to discussions if you want to, or indeed you can present if you wish to raise an issue which interests you. The atmosphere is entirely informal.
Skills/Knowledge:
None; the only qualification is having an interest in the topics and issues, or wanting to find out more.

The group began in May 2005, led by John Chapple. Eric Stanley took over in June 2008, and I have been the leader since December 2015.
